ship tends to be reserved for large freight these days......so its most likely air if you ordered it online

It took 2 weeks from Canada to Switzerland (Ordered at a Monday and got it Thursday next week...)... was Airmail i think.... but you can download the 1GB file directly after order it... you will get the key via email, install stardock central, follow the instructions in the email (add the key to your stardock account) and finaly download it... it took 2 hours from sending the order till start the game... the DVD will arive somewhen later... in fact, you won't miss the dvd...

AND!!! Stardock Central seams not to be like steam (must not run in background and so on...)

I enjoyed to buy the game in this way...

BUT!! you have to have an account to download the patches... you can download the exe and install it on several machines but you need an stardock central account...

It was also easily to install the game on a second machine to play it multiplayer... just archive the game in stardock central and move the file to the new pc, install stardock central and unarchiv it...

But you will not have the time to try this... you will have to play it!!! lol

NB: If you're getting it shipped, such as for me (to UK), you may be liable for additional customs charges & delays depending on local laws. I ended up paying £12 extra in customs charges :(.

Yes while I do love Valve I do not agree fully with the Steam software on my computer. This is a personal matter not a professional one mind you. The day Valve games are not present on my computer I am dead or someone has stolen it.

However Stardock Central is still the best way to get the game. Also the best way to make sure you can find that serial number and CD you lost years ago (years from now) and want to play the game again (or download it in this case). Better than that is Impluse the replacement for SDC. I can't say much but from what I have seen it will be a really great tool for our customers.
