Sins passes 100,000 copies sold in just under 23 days

Stardock has announced that Sins of a Solar Empire, the real-time space strategy game developed by Ironclad Games, has now passed 100,000 copies sold in just under 23 days since its release. Sins of a Solar Empire was the top selling PC game last week, leading both Call of Duty 4 and The Orange Box, according to Gamasutra’s Sailing the World.

And we should believe you instead of someone who works in the industry... why?Torrentspy or someone posted their own stats and less than 15% of torrent activity was on games (includes console and PC). About 70% of torrents were TV shows and movies.

No doubt. I have spent time doing research into this for personal edification and what I have learned is that the industry "numbers" are suspect to say the least. It is the same as the RIAA & the MPAA numbers. Moreover they are counting each platform as a separate market and that simply is not true. Additionally they appear to count each title as a total market saturation product.

Remember boys and girls, statistics is the fine art of lying with numbers and looking good doing it.

People who steal/pirate movies or games from the Internet should be tied to a tree by their intestines, but only after they have been tortured for 40 days and 40 nights.

Make me dictator and I'll make sure this happens.

I have something even worse. Force them to give up their lives for 3 years stapped behind a desk, working 80 hr weeks, and randomly hit them with 72hr shifts.  Take away their family, social lives, and health, then force them to answer hundreds of emails from whiny lying theives with outdated, bugged code.

Not that sounds like torture. Can you do that if I make you dictator?  :P

I think I can top that, but not by much; excluding the email torture.

Actually, make that 30 years, substitute "thieves" with smokers, alcoholics, and druggies, and you've got the life of a physician pegged. That's me (10 years in, but I still loves my games.)
