Request Mod - Perfect MOD

Okay guys, so I know we have several, several good mods out there already, but the differences between them are just a little obviously in the most part, and they tend to mean either it works for you, or it doesn't.  Enhanced graphics, explosions, increased tech-tree reliance, minor game changes, and Uzii's added stars, bonus', and new techs are all great.

But personally, at the risk of sounding like a total noob in all of this, which I am, I'd like a mod that allows for all of this and more.  An easy to use, self-explainary mod that works with very minor glitches and doesn't require hours of trying to combine different mods or getting bugs in-game.

Increased or re-organized supply system, revamping the pirate attack system, increasing the usability of units and structures; those are the greatest things any single mod could bring to the game.  It makes it more fun, challenging, and gives the games longer play times.  :p Not that its needed already. lol.

I know, I know, I keep repeating myself, and its been said over and over again in post after post that these mods should be gone through and selected individually, but what's wrong with creating a mod that would allow the user to be able to control what sets, systems, or options to be choisen?

What I'm trying to say is that I'd like a mod that allows for almost everything that has already been implied in the various mods that've been released, but is user-friendly enough that they can selectively choose how they want the mod to work and play out.  I know this rather unreasonable, but its a goal that could add alot to the overall game system.

What do you'll think?

I totally agree. But only the author of those mod can do this, as their changelog might miss a line or two that was changed.

So to the people releasing mods: they should download the other mod and apply their mod over the mod they want to combine, thus seeing whether they change something that's already changed in the other mod.

Basically you should request this to the mod makers. Don't know if they'll be up to it though. But it will be much harder work to combine two mods if you don't even know all the changes from both mods and they might overwrite each other with crucial consequences.

Put in a request eg. [REQ] Mars Effect + Sins Plus

I believe that is in the works in the community, or the author(xXAequitasXx) is working with mine as a base.

So far the main hang up I've found with combining mods like this is the english.str file needs to be hand edited to include the various changes some of the more indepth mods (Mars Effects, Sins Plus, etc...) add to it. (The Win merge program makes this a breeze though so you can combine files in about 3-4 minutes a piece.)

Everything else is pretty much pick and choose which effects from each mod you want/need and overwrite the appropriate files over the ones you don't.

I was able to combine Mars Effect and Sins Plus with my Empowerment v1.1 mod into a single working entity in about 20 minutes of work; so once you get familiar with how do it, it's really quite simple. (and before anyone asks me, I'm NOT offering up the mod combination for download because only a small part of the mod is mine so I really don't have a right to offer two other peoples work combined with mine as a package deal without their express approval/permission.)
