help with patch

ok so in the manual it says if you dont have an active internet connection to your computer just follow the onscreen steps to find out how to do it manually but follow the onscreen steps from where? ive tried the download update button in game but it just opens a browser that isnt connected to the internet. can i please have some more information

im sure im over looking the obvious but i need a helping hand in the right direction

I'm not quite sure what you're reading in the manual, but there's no getting around the fact that you need a computer connected to the Internet to get the patch. As long as you have an account here and have registered the game, you can get the patch from this link:

If you are not connected to the internet how are you posting?

And if you are posting from another machine just simple go to the link hollow man posted and DL the patch onto a zip drive and then carry it to your computer.

And if you can't do any of that I would recommend you buy some stock in Google because you have invented a time machine and you live in 1990.
