Recruiting "Major" Clans

We need a list of existing clans (the "real" clans that have a reasonably sized, active membership body) that happen to be recruiting. So far we have, in the order of whenever I got around to adding them...

Galactic Empire

A highly organized group of competitive players, with a large active player base.

Old but active clan . Trying to combine fun with skills . Democratic setup , all equal and with as less rules as possible . Mostly american and european members but everyone is welcome as long as they accept that the main language is english .



OK, would someone do me a favor and dig up the clans I missed? Please post here if you have an active clan, of at least 10 members. This is not aimed at "disenfranchising" smaller guilds, but rather making sure that the guilds listed are active and worth joining. We've all seen the "looser" guild that forms one day, and falls apart the next. The idea is to not direct people to them.

Also, if anyone wishes to add a real clan forum for their guild, hosting is available over here. We'd be more than happy to host clans -- just contact an admin (such as myself) and you'll be set up ASAP.

Also any clan that has a Sins Division as stated by Ron can list it at the spaceponies.com WWW Link

You don't have to join us or register or anything else, just list your clan so others can find you..

And Ron, thanks for this, my brain did not register to do this until you mentioned it..

Seeing as how I know your guild is active and "live", I'll boost you over that requirement -- it was just a way to "narrow" down the number of BS guilds that I'd have to winnow through.

Small map, competitive specialists.

The clan is invite-only, we all use ventrillo, and we all play 1v1s seriously.

We are looking forward to competing vs the two larger clans as well as the satellites of new clans emerging.

Guess I could make it easier for them and type it in for them as well... I say if they are too lazy to list their url aqnd hit enter then they probibly are to lazy to log in and hit enter to play the game as well!!

I did fire off a message, just waiting for a response. If it takes another couple of days, I'm going to assume it got "consumed" in the error that occurred shortly thereafter.

I'm not here to do research and find their clan for them -- if they don't want to provide a link that lets me assure myself they actually exist, then they deserve to be ignored

Has your membership increased past the 5 member roster you have in that thread? As things stand, I let RAY and the Ponies slide because I knew them personally, and hopeful horizons had a relatively busy thread going. You have an older thread, with little activity... And while I will freely admit I'm not online as often as I wish to be, I haven't seen you guys online, either.

The recognized clans should have one delegate who is tasked to vote on adding new clans. We want to build this community with stable organized groups. Not something that happens on a whim and has no serious support or for ego purposes because someone wants to feel special. Such groups are like a cancer to the community because they weaken us as a whole. Time, energy, and commitment are necessary components for a legitimate clan in my not so humble opinion. Allowing fly-by-night groups the same status as real clans only diminishes the real ones and can hurt membership in the community. food for thought...

I totally agree. And I have a solution! We set up a poll and the delegate form each established clan is emailed a link to thet poll. after a set time frame either they get a thunbs up or a thumbs down for being included...

Its well needed...

In fact i think i posted in Patch 1.03 thread how ICO / SD should start some sort of claning initative for this game... I mean "canvas" is surely there but "brushes and paints" are missing (leaderboard or some sort, claning chat lobby, official tourney perhaps, cup, etc... whatever... something... anything)

So yes - great idea and you have our support for your secret project
