Hi all,

The last day i have been working on solving this issue and its driving me totally crazy.

Ok . here s the story,

Heres my config
AMD X64 3800+
2 gig ram
EMU 1820m (creative drivers)

I have been playing SOASE for some time, sometimes i had no audio after the intro, but a restart (and sometimes reboot) would solve this. To solve this occasionially problem i installed the (new) 2.0 creative drivers. Unfortunately, something went wrong with the installation causing me to reinstall XP

After reinstallation i havent been able to hear ANY sound after the intro movies (and other games work ok)

Heres what i already tried
- clean XP
- reinstall directx 9.0c
- driver rollback to old emu/creative drivers
- disabled HW acceleration (this actually worked, with 0 acceleration i DO hear audio, but crackling)
- editted settings file (force hw blabla)
- tried all settings in game
+
- tried on my clean other XP partition (for music applications normally only)

and almost ALL possible combinations of above (yes, a lot of work)

I searched the forum and this seems to be a common problem with the creative drivers. But, now the old AND new drivers dont work on my system anymore.

The thing what is so frustrating is that it DID work (and now im hooked and DESPERATELY want to play a game -preferably- with sound)
