Unable to join game

Ok I know I make mods for Sins but that's purely in the mods directory which effectively shouldn't affect the game right? Well here's the problem. As I enter online I got to join a game hosted by my friend but I can't join. Initially thinking it was him because he used a hard mod that wasn't in the mod directory. At this time he was unable to join games and I was.

Sp after he reinstalled he could finally join other people's games, but now I have the problem. I delete all of my mods, reinstall the game, and I still can't join any games anymore. I keep getting the "Your mesh files differ from the host's. Ensure you and the host both have the latest uptade".

Seeing as the game was downloaded from Stardock and with it currently showing v1.02.018 I assume I have the current patch? I'm going to reinstall again after downloading it from Stardock though this is quite frustrating. Strange why it's just stopped connecting all of a sudden. Any ideas?

It's a safe bet that you did change something in the game's directory and forgot, or have left mods enabled (even if you only use the mod folder, you need to disable any you have on in the options before you play with others not using mods). In either case a reinstall should sort it out.

Well as I was redownloading I did actually check every directory associated with the game and lo and behold I found an odd mesh file which should've been in the mods directory was in my installed mesh directory...

So to those modders out there, double make sure you put the files in the right place! I feel like an idiot. Thanks. ^^;
