Forum still sucks... :(

i dont have any issues with this forum. I mean zero, notta. With server errors and loss of posts it sounds like either you have too much data going in/out of your machine (...from something) or you have a nasty spyware beast running amuck.

This is a suggestion only, not being a jerk, take some time to run a anti-spyware program, also consider running CClenaer that helps clean up a lot of junk our surfing habbits pick up. www.filehippo.com has a lot of freeware and shareware stuff.

I agree with U235 here, these forums tend to be really laggy. It's not my computer, because every other web site loads just fine, maybe this game just sold faster than they expected and the web server wasn't quite ready for that much traffic yet?

The forums isnt perfect thats true and it can take awhile at times to post or enter a thread, but trust me its alot better then it used to be

Its not a user problem, but a server problem that cant handle it all. So nothing a user can do but hope Stardock will upgrade the server

its not even a real valid problem since the forums dont suck at all. they use to suck but not anymore. so as i said lame thread by the op. oh and i really wouldn't call it bashing...

It is a valid problem as any other, since it can happen from time to time. Especially when the server reachs its limits from time to time. He might have experianced one of those moments.

But if the forum sucks? no, i dont think so

I'm with Multi here. Input something helpful or in agreement, or not at all.

I also get lag and server errors, but usually at night (GMT). One thing though, where you get a sever error after you typing in a post or reply, just hit the refresh button. On Firefox it asks me about POST DATA, I click OK and it reloads the page with my reply present

One thing that gets on my nerves a little, and if I've missed it, please enlighten me; why can't I jump to the last page of a thread, or when I click on a thread that I have read all 6 pages, why doesn't it jump to the latest unread page. On the modding forum, some mods have a huge first post, and it take me a minute or so, to scroll down past the opening post, click last page, and then scroll all the way down again.

But hey, at least there isn't any bots running amok here, a time ago, the Joint Task Force(RTS, World in Conflict, but not as epic) forum was simply overrun by bots. The mods didn't check in often enough, and the community was lost. The game has since been lost from memory, which is a shame.

read the second post i made. why would i make a post agreeing to the fact that this forum sucks when its pretty damn decent. i think u people expect too much.. oh and u can jump to the last page of a thread...

5 seconds of lag (which is all i get usually) is not really something to complain about at all.

You posted neither, therefore you are in the wrong. And like Multi said, you are 'bashing'.


I didn't say I expected them to improve it, I simply gave my experiences of the problem in question. And once again, you failed to read my post correctly. From the Forum main page you CANNOT jump to the last page, and if you can, like you said, why didn't you post how to? Another prime example that you really have no intention of helping anyone, but just to get on people's nerves. Please, go away or post a worthy response.

Well, you said 5 seconds, but no one else did. I experience load times of two minutes plus, and no, it's not my connection. Once again, it is an annoyance, not a problem. Well, not a problem for me, although it may be a problem for the people who maintain this forum, I'm not sure.

u r just nit picking. its nothing valid. so really u shouldnt even bother to mention it because its something pointless. "oh no! i cant go to the last page from the forum main page!". if u were smart, u wouldnt let it get on ur nerves in the first place since u can just go to the thread and from there go to the last page! its nothing to get annoyed by so i cant understand why to you it would be an annoyance.

if u experience 2 minutes plus of lag then deal with it. on some forums it can be way more. its nothing to really be whining about at all. it not like it happens all the time.



how exactly am i ruining the thread. i said it was lame. will that automatically ruin the thread? please... all im stating is my different point of view of what uzi calls annoyances when they really arent... if 2 minutes of lag happens to u then just do something else for those two minutes. talk to friends on msn or something... christ.. its nothing to whine about.
