I am playing the single player game trying to get the hang of this game and am doing okay as far as i'm concerned except for one problem. everyone else is making many more credits( up to twice as much) as i am even though i have the most planets and they all have ful civilian infrastructure. what can i do to make more money???

Build as many trader's posts as you can fit on every planet you control.

Like I had 6 traders posts on one planet, 4 on another, 3 traders posts on my homeworld, and like 28 traders posts in total. Was getting mucho dinero.

Six ports on one planet is a bit much, I think, but you should build SOME. ^_^

Don't increase your fleet size until you need to. That can be a big drain on your economy when you're starting out.

You may not have set a capital planet. Check the allegience numbers (click on a planet - bottom middle the orange number). If they aren't very high - you missed setting a capital

Usually credits not a problem in mid-game. Crystals usually for me probably not playing as TEC. Like others said Trade ports. Trade ports increase income by a little for each planet. So everything adds up. Usually not a problem if you can get 20+/s at least for me. :)Usually have ten of thousands of credits but no crystals to spend. :P

i normally have so much excess crystal i sell it for cash. and i have huge fleets to take over all the planets. seems to work well its just everyone else has more money. not that it helps them all that much when i'm destroying their planets >:}

Usually I have either crystal OR metal in abundance, depending on whether I've gotten more volcanic or arctic planets.

I ALWAYS have too much metal and not enough credits, so im always selling the metal for cash and screwing up the market.

How do you sell extra stuff for cash? Is it when you click on your trade ports?
