Ive played a few games now and have noticed one minor glitch dealing with cuing up ships. Basically this only applys if you are building a very VERY large armada of ships. anyway basically the issue is dealing with having the tech level to suport many many ships and the building of many many ships.
In a nut shell, If my pop cap is 100, then I que up research for more than one increases to pop cap (say, in my case where I had enough resources to go up to 2000), then, while the research is qued I que up a whole hell lot of ships (say, in my case, 100 LRMs, 20 seige, 40 kodiks). I noticed that even though the research to 2000 cap was incrementalized, my units DID NOT PRODUCE till all qued units could be produced. The real problem was there was a long time where nothing was being done because of waiting for that.
in time, basically
1. Cue up more than one pop cap limits
2. Cue up as many ships as you can to the point beyond the first pop cap upgrade, but of course not able to cue past the eventrual max.
3. When the first pop cap upgrade is compleate your ships up to that pop cap SHOULD start producing (but dont)
4. When the final pop cap is finished being researched (encumbering beyond your cue'd pop) THAT is when your ships begin to build.
All in all a minor problem, but in my case where I had nearly 1500 pop cue'd up, it took a long time to wait, moreover, I did notice my ships wherent being built and reduced my cue'd pop down below my researched level (then my ships began to build, like they should). When I recued above my current researched level (but well within my eventrual total), production stopped.
Notes:
I have been able to repeat this on multiple computers
All computers used (my brothers and mine) both have the latest patch.
Hope that is useful to the patch team at stardock! BTW, Thanks for making a kick ass game, you actrually made me stop playing world of warcraft for more than a few days!!! Achevement unlocked! *Intervention!* -Able to break up a wow junky from his game for more than a few hours!!
OH, and, I blame you for making me stay up past 4 in the morning when I had a presentation worth 1/3rd my grade the next morning... good job... seriously...
