Unable to access ironclad online

Alright, i just got this game and wanted to play online, so I sign up with an account.  I download the patch, gave my serial code and such on the site, took down my firewalls, all of them, and tried logging on in the game and it says, "network error, disconnecting from ironclad online." So I tried to make an account in game and it says the same thing.  I know for sure my internet is working and quite frankly im unsure of whatelse can be done.  So if someone could help me get it working it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you disabled all the firewalls? If you have any software firewalls, you may need to run the game in windowed mode so you can see the popup and permit the game through. If you have a router, you may also need to forward the ICO ports to your IP, and if you're on a university or company network, they may be blocking the traffic entirely.

I tried to go online myself, but had no success in playing. it said I had the wrong version of Ironclad online. does anyone know what that means? I sure dont and stardock does not have a help site for me to ask about it.

When you click Download Updates, it helps if you already have Internet Explorer open (I don't think it works with Firefox).

I am having an issue connecting today (and was being dropped yesterday) and I normally host people (witnessed by The Monk before I get told I don't know what I'm doing).
Wonder if it os my end or IC Online end???

And now I can connect again - it seems to be intermitenet and only last for a minute or two

hehe.......yes I'll atest to the fact that Hack78 can in fact host games... :)

Hack, I have on occasion been "disconnected" from IC Online as well. Seems to have come down to a "bad hop" between myself and IC Online on those days.

Do a "tracert" between you and IC online whenever you're "disconnected". I don't have the IP for ICO with me at the moment, but if you perform a "netstat -a" once logged in to ICO you'll clearly see ICO's IP in the list of connections.

If you created a forums account, bear in mind that these are separate from ICO accounts, and you will need to make one in the game to play online. If you did create an ICO account through the game, contact [email protected] and they will be able to help you.

I am experiencing the same problem in Malaysia.

The problem being when I click login, it just seems to not move, buttons go grayed out but the graphics in the background is still moving so it's not a program jam.

My friend in Australia confirms the problem and is unable to login as well with the same symptoms.

I updated to 1.05.028 via Stardock Central while my friend downloaded the patch and applied it.

This never used to be a problem before.

I also confirm that my port 6112 is forwarded correctly.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem here in LA. Someone needs to wake up and power cycle the login server or replace the hamster or whatever. =)

But seriously, ICO Login definitely is not working right now.

Yep ditto, its no working. Who do we email or harass? I can't play this game in single player, the computer is too stupid.

same problem was working fine last night.

it seems like Ironclad was just in it for the money, this problem float up everywhere, and it seems like they just ignore it.

Ive been trying i cant either. But dont be so hasty guys im sure theyll fix it soon and remember we dont have to pay a dime to play this online.  ;)

Im kinda upset too just learned a few things about the game i wanted to implement today it appears ive been making some stupid moves in the past. Hopefully they resolve this before too much later in the day after all it is sunday and monday is only hours away AHHHH!! (:(

i TRIED It also it says i have wrong version and i have 1.50 i dont know how 2 create one i go 2 create one it wont let me 2 join ironclad ?? Do i need the disc in disc drive 2 play online ?? i just click star dock icon and it shows gallistic civil, and solar empire i click solar empire and it lets me play game do i need game inside cpu 2 play ironclad yes or no ???

No you do not need the disk

If it's telling you "wrong version of IronClad" then you do not have 1.05 (the latest version)

please update either via Stardock/Impulse or the following link:

https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/downloads.aspx


login with your ID and download the latest update for your game.

im having the same problem as gavi69. When i try to play it says that i dont have the latest version, but i do because down in the corner it shows version 1.05, anyone got help?

1.05 is no longer the latest version.

 

You'll need to install IMPULSE (www.impulsedriven.com) in order to update your game to the latest version which in turn will let you play on ICO!

1.15 if the latest version, not 1.05.... They release patches periodically.

Impulse will automatically update only the required files to get you to the correct version.
