Kol Battleship

I the Kol's guass cannon ability needs to be corrected.  It says is does 800 damages at level 3, but it seems only to do 300 at best.  In addition, the flak ability on the Kol seems useless.  I have never seen it do any damage to anything.
This severly limits the ability of this ship to be a "battleship."  Are the developers planning on fixing this in any upcoming upgrades?

Did you correct for shields and mitigation? A level 3 gauss shot at 57% mitigation will only do 456 damage.

The stupid thing should bypass mitigation. Hell it should do Composite damage or just bypass armor completely too.

That or decrease the antimatter cost to 35 or 40. 75 is absurd.

Ive often wondered if that does the damage its supposed to. I will have to start watching it more closely and see. However, the forcefield generator on the Kol combined with the shield recharge from a dunov makes the Kol one great damage soaking ship.

Flak is also the stupidest ability in the game. Magnetize is infinitely better as it DESTROYS strikecraft *AND* damages enemy ships.

I haven't had much of a chance to test it myself, but does flak burst even hit strikecraft? If so, then yes, it definitely needs its damage raised as I've never seen fighter or bomber squadrons seem crippled or even hurt badly after using such an expensive ability.

I don't know, using the KOL's level 6 ability with the GC really can be quite incredible.

I do agree flak seems to be under powered, or maybe I am doing something wrong with it?

The level 6 ability is hit-or-miss. The antimatter regen is fairly 'meh' (mainly because it costs so much antimatter for its lackluster abilities), the armor repair is nice, and the area effect damage CAN be good. I like to activate it and then send the ship into the middle of enemies, so that all its turrets can fire, but they dont' do very much damage, so it doesn't feel as powerful as it should.

Eh, I guess it costs a lot, but it always restores more antimatter than it uses which is nice.
