lan help

My friends and I were playing a lan game last night, it got late so we saved and quit. But today when we tried to continue, it wouldn't let us  start were we left off. It wont let us join are previous game. So Does anyone know how to go about continuing a lan game that has already been started? Help would be appreciated. thanks

The host from last night needs to load the "saved game" and then everyone connects back to the same host.

That doesn't work for me for some reason and I have no clue why.

 

When I load a new game and my mate joins in we can play as long as we want and everything's fine.

When I then save the game and rehost it, even waiting in the lobby, my mate doesn't show up in the lobby and we both see each other as some kind of bots ingame. It seems as if after saving and leaving, we both play seperate games with bots instead of real people.

 

Any tips or ideas?

He needs to join the loaded game before you start it, otherwise an ai will take over for him.

As I said, he doesn't show up in the lobby and whether I wait until he joins or start it right away doesn't seem to matter. Even if he joins the game before I do... we somehow cannot play the same game together again once we left it. :/

When you load the saved game does the other person load the game also or join your game?

Step by step of what you need to do.

1. Have All Players set their name to the same name they used in the game you played.

 

2. For a Host to load a game in multiplayer (only One Player does this).

     a (LAN and IP) From the main menu go to Multiplayer then (blue) Load Game, select the game and press the (green) Load Game.

     b. (IronClad Online) After logging in have the host go to (arrow pointing up) Host Saved Game, select the game you wish to load then press (play button) Host Saved Game.

 

3. Now that the game is hosted All other players now join the game.

     a. (LAN and IP) In the main menu go to Multiplayer then Join Game, enter in the IP if playing by IP or select the game if playing over Lan, then press Connect.

     b. (IronClad Online) After logging in go to (blue) Join Game select the game you wish to join then press (green) Join Game.


4. When all players have arrived (you can tell if they're there by the ready button) have all players ready up and then the Host presses Start.
