Space is Turquoise?

Hello.

My first game was in a very nice black space and then my second game has turned in to a turquoise backdrop. I can't find a setting that can change colors, any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The skyboxes are random and they vary per star. Also blackspace is the worst imo.

I love the blue background that looks like "sky". The red is probably my least favorite. It's kinda hard to see the units up close at times. All in all, the backdrop schema that this game uses is awesome. Space has always been difficult to portray because it is so vast. To get perspective, the eye needs "close" points of reference in order to avert from the monotony of space. The background and space effects in this game accomplish this nicely IMO. Now if we could just get space RTS's to do this then we'd be all set!

I *HATE* the blue 'sky' one. It's so bright it's irritating as hell.

if you want to disable the colored skyboxes, juts uncheck it in the options.

its the coloured skyboxes option.

leave the "deepspace" ( I think thats it) option checked though and all you games will look like your basic outerspace type with stars in the background.

The thing about the sky boxes that bothers me is that they skybox can have a bright light, but the side of a planet that is facing that bright light is dark because it is facing away from the sun, hence why I like the dark backdrops. I don't have a problem if you want to say that system is close to a nebula or something, but it would be nice if the light from that nebula would actually illuminate a bit. But they are nice, green is my least favorite.
