problem installing v1.02 patch

I've searched around the forums, but I couldn't find a solution to this issue.

I've been trying to install the v1.02 patch for the game, but when the patch installer reaches 100%, the following message appears: "You do not have access to make the required system configuration modifications. Please rerun this installation from an administrators account."

I should note that I am running Windows XP Professional, and that my account is a computer administrator account. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i have another issue with the 1.02 patch. whenevr i am in game and i need to minimize it with ctrl and esc or something like that it keepstelling my it saves to the minidump and then crashes my game/ this only happens after i install the patch
