Frames Per Second issue

The game runs great, but then ill leave my laptop in its screensaver state for a period of time and i go launch the game again but now i get 7-9 fps compared with 25-30 fps. If i restart my computer it goes back to normal. is there a reason for this? here are my cpu specs

Nvida Quadro NVS 120M and ya my drivers are good. the game runs fine even when there are massive battles going on. its just that after i leave my laptop on for a while it goes into screensaver mode i get outta that and play the game it then has issues with FPS

that is strange... it shouldn't happen. I doubt it is hardware-related.

Hmmm, i have same problem on my Latitude D820! Damn, it's very annoying.
I think that may be some error in nvidia driver or something..

It sounds like a driver issue, with the suspend function possibly?

I'd check Dell.com for drivers for your Latitude D820, and see if there's anything that can be updated. Could very well be an issue with the Bios too, it's hard to say as the change log for the most recent bios doesn't list anything and Google comes up empty.

Make sure that you have all the security fixes and updates from Windows Update.

And lastly check that you got the latest DX files, from www.microsoft.com/directx

That's mostly just tossing darts around randomly at potential culprits.
