Essential Hotkeys

Basically, Sins works on a convienient location system instead of mnemonics. Most of the hotkeys are mapped to QWER/ASDF in such a way that the position of the button on the menu matches the position of the key (i.e. the top-left icon in the bottom menu bar is on Q, the bottom right is on F, and so forth.)

QWER are your capital ship ability hotkeys, in order.

F, F is create fleet.

F, R is retreat - note that it doesn't work right now.

F5 is sell metal, F6 is sell crystal, add ctrl- to make that into "buy" instead. F3 opens the black market/underground menu.

When selecting a planet, A opens the frigate factory, and E does your long-range frigate (at least for TEC.)

Oh, and Y lets you rename things. It's important to give your capships stylish names.

Alt+H is good for selling your buildings/ships (Scuttling).

The = button increases game update rate, - decreases update rate (the two buttons to the left of the backspace key).

Yeah, I really love the hotkey system in Sins. Recently I started playing WC3 again and the first thing that struck me, was that the hero abilities hotkeys were scattered all over the keyboard... Freakin' annoying if you're used to Sins, I'll tell you that! In Sins you never have to check the position of your hand on the keyboard because everything you really need is in reach. Hopefully Blizzard will catch on to this very much superiour layout for hotkeys...

shortcuts are essentials in advanced playing, but my english isn't really awesome and i miss the time to read the whole shortcut list who is enteraly customysable so i have a few problems founding the one i'm looking for.

 

does it exist a shortcut to select all the same ship type in a same gravity well?

you know what i mean, big army/fleet just ctrl + left click or shift+ 2x left click and hop! magic all my marines or LRF or bombers are ready to focus fire this ugly zerg, carrier, anythingyoudon'tlikeandan'tseedeadasap ^___^

yes Doomy just hold alt and click on the correct ship type

It is worth noting that this works for ALL abilities and actions and buildings and any button that appears in their place.

There are two rows of five buttons each in the lower right of your screen. There may be cap abilities, options to build something, planet development options or whatever.

Those buttons always have the same hotkeys.

QWERT - first row
ASDFG - second row.

Really Y is for renaming I though it was Shift+N but then again I have it on default
