Is there a way to uninstall the patch?

I have a large scale ongoing game that I've been playing for a couple of weeks now, but I cannot play in anymore after installing the patch. I understand that an old game would not have the changes from the patch taking effect in the game, but I did not expect that I wouldn't even be able to open games started with version 1.02! Is there a way of reverting back to version 1.02 or to make the save file compatable with the new patch?

just reinstall the game (after making sure your saved game is secure) and apply the 1.02 patch. Most old patches you'd be able to find online but I think this may be an exception to that rule. If you don't have that patch anymore I could email it to you as I have it saved. just give me your email address if you want

Unfortunately I downloaded the game, and it looks like Stardock automatically downloads the most recent version. That sucks. Like I said I've been playing the game for a couple of weeks now and it was just starting to reach a turning point.
