Crash report

I'm still geting MP crash/Minidump 5-10 mins in to any MP game. This occurs on both LAN and online.

I have yet to play this game multiplayer.

v1.03 minidump uploaded to old issue to go along with 1.0 and 1.02 minidumps.

Hope you fix it ... soon. Seriously.

If you don't play MP just load a saved game and set autosave intervals shorter (if that is possible).

Edix, could you give your system specs and make sure there's no background programs?

something is wrong with your computer.

Did you install any mods?

email:

[email protected] (I think)

System specs,
Attach Dxdiag report and minidumps..
OS details,

etc etc

Is probably best thing to do since it's most likely a game problem.

we had lockup's in 1.02 in MP (after playing for a while), but haven't tried 1.03 yet.

Personally, I've found the Prime95 (Prime95) running in stress test mode is a much better memory tester than Memtest. I've sat there and watched memtest OK a stick of RAM that I have known has been faulty after 10 hours of testing it. Prime 95 picked up the fault in abut 10 minutes.

I'll give it a shot.

I doubt that it has anything to do with MEM.

If I can play every game on my computer and play Sins in single player with no problems I highly doubt that only in MP and only in SINS would i get a crash because of MEM.

Edix I would defiantly do the mem test with memtest86 and the Prime95 just to cover your bases and I know this is going to sound weird but have you defragged lately? I have been working on a mod and when one of my .mesh files go corrupt it caused a minidump issue as well, of course this only happened when I activated the mod and it ran fine if not slow with out it activated and just the default game type. When I did finally decided to do a defrag it was something like 20%, I had not kept up on it and I knew it. If that is the case for you as well go to http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html this is an excellent program and it will defrag on fly (I just found it out after my little bout with defrag a few weeks ago).

I also have this running on both a Vista Media Center Edition PC (Home Premium) & my gaming rig with XP Pro with no problems. When a friend of mine comes over to play (yes I bought 2 copies no one freak out) with multiplayer or single player we have no problems. If your having problems past the mem test & defrag post what your sys specs are get ver # for your drivers and post it up here or email it to support (I would do both) and maybe we can help narrow it down for you.

Since i bought Mac my Windows experience became better - sounds confusing!?!?! Sure it does but i will try and explain :)

As you know latest Macs are running on latest Intels and as such they can run natively both OSz - Mac OS X as well as XP / Vista...

So what i have done is following...

All my work files, applications, media stuff etc... Everything! Is based and rather comfortable on my OS X :)

Games are based on my Windows partition which is entirely clean from everything but GAMES. Yes nothing at all on there but XFire, Team Speak and GAMES...

Now to the point of this post...

Since i performed this move that ultimately resulted in very "clean" windows i have never EVER NEVER had a problem with any game or any kind of Win crash. In fact Windows on my MAC is performing about 3x better than Win on my PC of equal hardware specs...

So get Mac and use OS X for all your work stuff and treat your Windows installation as gaming OS...

This combination is ultimate computing / gaming experience you can have in year 2008 and beyond...

:)

Games i am running on my Mac without any problems or crashes and mainly set on all high are: Crysis, COD4, World In Conflict and of course Sins...

Yes, I have quite a lot of experience with Macs, and bootcamp (Windows on Mac), as I work in QA porting games form PC to Mac. The only problem I have with it is that it can cost x3 or more for a Mac than a hand built PC. I rather hand build my computer. It's just a personal preference.

Many of my friends have too, and the 'disable bloom' fix has worked for them. Give it a try - they never had crashes pre v1.03, so I'm not sure what changed.

I have had crashes in all versions of the game. Only in MP. It happens the exact same way every time.

But, i will try bloom. I doubt that it would only affect MP and not SP modes though.

Just loaded up the game to check Bloom and it is off by default. It was never on.

Information Update

Today I used the Defrag program mentioned in an earlier post. And used Registry Mechanic to fix/optimize my registry.

After doing this I logged in to Ironclad online. I proceeded to join games. But this time instead of minidumping I was able to play for about 10-15 mins and then everyone in the game would crash/minidump. But I would not. This is not the same behavior as before. As before I would crash/minidump. I do not know if before everyone else crashed too. I do not think so though. I do not know if this is just a coincidence that I used these programs or if this behavior is the same as before but just rarer and I never saw it. But It happened every time.

Hosting a game still produces the same results as before. After about 5-10 mins I crash/Minidump.

I have not tested LAN yet.

Also, Sorry to everyones game I crashed. Took me a while to figure out what was going on and then about 2 more games to confirm that it was me. I stopped joining games after that.

If someone at Stardock/Ironclad would like to host a game and have me join it so they could get the minidump file form that side I would be happy to oblige.
Yep 100% sure now.

Tested LAN. Every game I join I cause everyone in the game to minidump. I do not minidump. The game migrates to me.

If I do not join the LAN game the game runs fine and does not minidump.

This put the priority of the issue to high in my opinion. If i can join games and crash them instead of just me crashing that is much worse.

Now, I am not going to run around joining games crashing them but what about anyone else who has this issue and doesn't care or take the time to figure it out as I have.

Stardock/Ironclad Its all on you now. I don't think I can give you any more information than I already have.

Have you tried completely reinstalling the game? If you think it's your client crashing the games, it's worth a shot in case something is messed up.
