Simple request for Devs, please include a clock in-game.

This was the 4th night in a row that I missed 2 hours of sleep because I stayed up too late.

Sure I could look at a clock, but I've come to love in game clocks and prefer those.  :D

I know it's not exactly what you wanted - but download X-fire. If you're running it in the background while playing the game, you have the option to tack on an easy on the eyes FPS counter, as well as a clock.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll fiddle around with tonight. I do hope they add the dozen or so lines of code to include a clock in 1.4 :D

Yeah, I agree. I've found myself an in-game clock. I tend to use it in games where it's available to track my progress compared to previously played games.

A clock with an alarm would be nice in-game. Until the devs get to it, though, there are some freebies on download.com (search "alarm clock") if you're not running X-Fire.

I would love to see an in game timer as well that displayed how many game minutes and seconds have passed.

It is useful for benchmarking your econ growth as well as coordinating attacks with allies (i.e. lets attack at the 35 minute mark)

Or just run maximized in windowed mode so you can still see the taskbar with its clock (and easily do stuff on a second monitor, etc). I don't care for xfire myself.

alt-tab to windows, then alt-tab back. Takes two seconds maximum.

That said, an in-game timer for game-time and elapsed time would be interesting. I mean, sure you can find this number by saving, then going to the load screen and selecting the same save, but it's hassle.

I like to try and 'beat the clock' when playing against the AI sometimes. Like beating a huge random map against 9 unlocked AI in under 7hrs game-time (a nice challenge...).

I love X-fire, mainly because I love being able to IM people while I wait for the slow parts of the game to pass by.

You could just press "+" to accelerate the game-time instead...
