Sins running abnormally slow

I got Sins a while ago (about a month ago), and it ran beautifully.  I loved it.  It was my new favorite.

Then Stuff went wrong.  The game refused to run.  I would go to start the game, my screen would go black, then I'd get an error from Windows saying that Sins has encountered an error (it didn't give any specifics).

I tried reinstalling.  That didn't work.  I tried a system restore.  That didn't work.  I tried a driver rollback.  That didn't work.  Then I updated to the latest driver pack.  The game ran, but at a snail's pace.  The menu screen was getting about 4 frames a second, if that.  The actual game was slightly better; it probably got somewhere around 8-12 frames per second.  Turning down my graphics settings didn't help at all.  So I tried another driver rollback; which put me at square one where the game wouldn't even start.

I know my system can run the game at decent settings.  It did for about 3-4 weeks.

Here's my rig:
AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2 Ghz
1 gig ram
2X ATI Radeon X1650Pros in CrossFire
Windows XP

If anybody has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Try installing into a different folder, not the default path? I've had some games not work unless I gave it its own folder (not in C:\Program Files\InsertGameNameHere)

Maybe your vid cards are fried?

Do you have any other games you play and do they work?

Grab this app and see if it can tell you anything...

Sins does the exact same thing on my computer. I played it without probs for like a week. A few days ago i loaded it up again and its very choppy framerate-wise from the beginning of the game menu all thru the game. I can reload the game multiple times and it is randomly faster but never at normal speed. I uninstalled and reintalled to c:\sins to try a diff directory and i was rewarded with one entire gaming session at normal speed. When i loaded it up the next morning, the slowness was back.

e6850, asus 650i board, 2gb ocz reaper, enermax 535w, evga 8800gts 320, 150gb raptor.

I may try to reinstall windows. Other games seem to work normally.

I fixed it! This is a landmark moment for me, because this marks the first time that I've encountered a game that performs better at HIGHER resolutions as opposed to LOWER resolutions. So, for MuleSiN, try increasing the screen res.
