Europe/UK Release?

Hey, I've been following Sins publicity/previews for a while, but I can't even find pre-orders on mose UK sites [amazon, play.com], so I'm a little confused that reviwes and patches are coming out for a game I can't find. Are there different releases for the UK, and if so, when are they? I'm slightly reluctant to start a long download from a US-based service, not sure about speeds/router problems. Thanks in advance.

Many people have downloaded from overseas and haven't complained about speeds - so I doubt it's something you have to worry about.

The reason you can't find it is because Stardock never managed to get a European publisher to sign on, nobody wanted to take on the game, silly them.

You can also order the boxed version from Stardock and they'll ship it overseas to you, but the shipping cost is going to be higher for obvious reasons :P

I'm from the UK as well. I don't think there are any plans to release at brick and motor retail level outside of the US, but you can just buy it directly from this site as a download. Its a great game.

am from Uk i downloaded it and got the copy sent to me aswell (i like having a hard copy of things) game downloaded quite quick for me and is great to play, is ay go for it :)

I'm from England, and I looked on ebay and the only people selling it were from the US... would have cost lots to get it shipped here... I didn't realise that you could download it from this site though... Does it cost much to get the hard copy shipped if you order it from here? Also with the download are there any limitations to how much you can use it? I was thinking about sharing with my brother and playing LAN games :D which I can do with other games... just wondering.

It's $20 US I believe to ship overseas (someone feel free to correct me here), and per EU import laws it *may* get held up in customs and they might slap on some extra fees (luck of the draw on that one for you).

The download has no limitations, you can download as many times as you like.

You can also install it on another PC and play a 2-player LAN game with 1 serial, which sounds perfect for your needs :P So if you just want to play LAN with your brother, one copy is all you need.

I downloaded the game from stardock and it was great, no problems installing or downloading. Even though I did have reservations about buying it on-line, everything has worked out fine. I'll continue with stating that SoaSE is an absolutely smashing game, and well worth the money.

p.s UK resident here (game download time = 48 mins)
