Interface graphics get messed up over time

After i play the game for a little bit (about 5 to 10 mins) a part of my interface gets messed up. The game still runs fine and the graphics of the ships and planets is still okay. I had the same problem in Galactic Civilizations 2. I took some screen shots of it. If someone could tell me whats wrong or how to fix it, it would be a ton of help. Thanks.
