Problems installing patch 1.3

I’ve looked around some for a similar report or maybe an announcement stating a similar problem, but have found nothing. I haven’t had the opportunity to search the forums (unfortunately) because they seem to go down quite often…

Has anyone else had issues with this? I downloaded and installed the game - and have been playing it for some time now. However, when I try to apply the official 1.3 patch, I get this error emssage:

The path registry value at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins

appears to be blank.

Please make sure you have the game installed.

This update installation will now exit.

Anyone have any ideas? Again, sorry for not being able to check out the forums completely...

I cut and pasted the error message exactly. The installer quits because it can't find a registry value that it apparently needs.

Sorry, when I first saw the post it was completely blank in content, just the title. I tried to find the other thread about the same issue, but it seems the forums aren't letting me look at previous pages, so that thread faded away

I don't remember the resolution for the problem off the top of my head, unfortunately.
