Way addicted to this game.

Since I got this game 2 weeks ago I've lost sleep every single night.

3 of my friends got it after I showed it to them and now all of us are losing sleep.  The unfair AI makes it quite the challenge for us.  Personally I'm not as interested in Starcraft 2 as I used to be now, I like the pacing in this game.

To me it seems like the successor to MOO (Masters of Orion). I am enjoying in immensely.

"Unfair AI"? Wow. Most seem to say it's too easy. I have no opinon myself as I too just got the game.

I like it. It's like a combination of MOO2 & Homeworld2.

I think he means the new AI level where the AI gets a bonus (is it called Unfair? I think so).

I'm not sure we need more reasons for people to be deprived sleep (I think that's commonplace enough), but at least it's in a fun way, right? :)

I think SoaSE has revolutionized the gaming industry. While there aren't particular aspects that are individually creative, it's the mashup as well as some gaming philosophy that makes it so enjoyable. Good times.

Yes, me too. I keep playing this game every night and the battles keep getting bigger and bigger. Half the time I play on maps of my own design now too to mix things up. Last time I played a game that was this consistent in keeping me up it was Rise of Nations.

Maybe there should be a subtitle to Sins.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rise of the Sleep Deprivation.

Yeah a friend of mine and I started fighting 1 standard AI, and worked our way up to 4 hard AIs, and while very fun proved a little too easy in the end.

Last night we tried 2 unfair level AIs and we have had to work our asses off to take ground without losing planets ourself. For the first time we had to save our game which we'll resume tonight, we're about 5 hours in.

Craig,

From player to devolper I must thank you for this game. To me it was just a $40 purchase, but as others have said before I feel it IS finally a replacement for the multiplayer Moo2 I enjoyed. For you it was probably a hell of a lot of work. This is one game that's probably never going to collect dust on my shelf like so many others have.

Thanks again :)
Travitar

p.s. For what it's worth, I'd like super caps and more spacey weirdness/exploration in an expansion someday.

i love this game as well. i like building huge maps and completely dominating them. sometimes just keeping the AI around and healthy so I can toy with them. i wish someone would take the same ideas behind this game and make a 4x rts with a Stronghold or Settlers type background. have to stick with mmo's to have a large fantasy world to explore.
