Patch 1.03 is done, how about the promised demo ? I usually never play rts for their lack of depth but would consider to give this one a shot because it's from Stardock and I enjoyed GalCiv 2. However I'd like to see a demo first, making sure that I don't blow 45 bucks.

Game plays like a great blend of Carrier Command, Homeworld, Moo2 and Starcraft.

It has the large map free flowing but 'slow' RTS feel that carrier command had. It has the 'space opera' look and feel from Homeworld. The strategic empire management that made Moo2 work so well and finally the 3 different races warring together from Starcraft.

This should be enough to make up your choice either way. No need to await demo - unless you are really strapped for cash!
