.galaxy files not opening

getting an error saying:
"Failed to load galaxy definition file: GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef"

this happened after I edited the file using notepad (which it is now file associated with). I've been trying to reset the file association but it just defaults to notepad...

EDIT: I downloaded GF for v1.03 and it recognized all the files (im an idiot
