[Idea]Underpowered Turrets

I think that the planetary turrets are greatly underpowered, I place say.... 15 fully researched turrets around a planet with a repair station, a fleet of about 10 enemy Frigates (no cruisers or capital ships) can take my turrets out easily, the only thing they seem to be good for is buying time till my fleet arrives, I now build hanger defenses because they are allot more effective, I think the turrets need improvement, does anyone else think this is an issue or is it just me?
