to the DEVS, expect announce date for expansion

about expansion i figure they go on vacation/holiday after patch 1.4 with there hard hard hard earned money  

Back in the beta days when talk of an expansion first came up, what we heard was something along the lines of "If there's an expansion, it'll probably be around this time [February] next year".

I don't care if people get angry at me, but this guy is the biggest douche in the world..

JUST SO YOU KNOW BUDDY, an entire EXPANSIONS worth of stuff can be added for free, from sweet game developers that arn't EA... Ok, so calm down, and grow up, because right now you are the biggest idiot in the world.

Expansion?!? You must be joking. How about we let them get this game debugged, polished and a few additional features added in before any talk of an expansion. And yes, of COURSE there will be an expansion. No one with any economic self-interest makes a game like Sins and then foregoes the profits to be had from an expansion. But, right now the devs need to focus on the original product, even as nice as it already is.(jeez, its like there is always a contest with new games to see who will be the first to post an "expansion" thread...)

Not sure what is worse.. a guy asking for a release date on the expansion.. or you guys telling the devs what they should or should not be doing.

Even though they've already spoke of an expansion (since they said that's where any campaign would be), it's preposterous to even think of it considering the game hasn't even been out two months.

@ everyone else bashing the OP, grow up. We don't need these forums to turn into a flame fest like you hear when playing halo. All you are doing is damaging the community on these forums with such hostility.

At MOST, the replies should be along the lines of "This has been posted before, please look before posting" and/or "It is too soon after the games release to get a firm date, you should know that".

This bashing is uncalled for.

Look..i am sorry if this thread has caused some replies that are more or less can be come across as uncouth. Before HL2 came out, the devs at Valve told PC Gamer in an interview that they were planning a HL3, that was way before it even came out. I think Kyro/Yarlen told us that we MIGHT (not for certain) that the expansion release date will probably be Feb of 2009. Hence i am expecting something to be tentatively on the drawing board from the devs and schedules for different milestones to be set for the expansion. Such schedule would includes an announcement like "Stardock and Ironclad will be collarbrating in the development of an expansion for Sins..."

Betheseda does it on their Oblivion website, but even their announcement might or might not include a release date at first. I think i am asking a legitimate question

Seems more like a being a demanding customer and telling them what to do instead of a question.

Reinhart, did you read what i said before you quote me, i said Kyro/Yarlen said that it might or might not be that an expansion might not be out at least Feb of next year, so it takes a while for an expansion to get developed. So it is not unreasonable that the devs might make an announcement, but it is just a matter of when. I am asking when that announcement might be. I do not think i am being demanding. If i said "i would like to see the expansion to be out come next feburary" and start making a fuss about it, then i am being demanding. Like i said, if an announcement does get make, i am not expecting to be written in stone either.

the_Monk, when I look at the number of new posts that appear each day in the main forum, it's pretty low for a game getting so much press. There are very few topics with more than a dozen replies. I don't know if that is because of Denial of Service attacks (is there any proof of this? Why would people want to do that?) or because it's not the friendliest of places, but a bunch of people getting together to trash a topic is not the most compelling of invitations for new people to come here and hang out.

ZzZ_Guy basically summed up my own reaction and how replies could and should be made. People ganging up and posting things like "get a clue" or leveling accusations of whining and the like just make this place unappealing.

The devs have said there would be an expansion; mainly including the things they didn't have time to add for Sins.
But it's a horrible stunt to 'announce' when a unfinished product will be 'out'.

Proof would be the way the forums slowed waaaaaaaaay down and stopped working a while back As to why... who knows? Some leet-kiddy hacker probably didn't like the game.

I've been a member of other forums that have had similar sporadic problems, and it was nothing to do with an organized attack. They had just undersized their hardware or network architecture, or there were other technical issues that caused minor forum borkage.
