We're working on it. I suck at writing strategy -- I have a grasp of strategy, yes, but I can't verbalize it very well -- but I'm doing my best, usually by beating up on some poor sucker then "analyzing" his mistakes for faults.
That said, the research trees (and the upcoming ships database) aren't my doing; the thanks there can go to Mr. Hide for the code work, and Theoderich II for the graphics work.
