Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.
7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.

So, now I know what you want...a list of what YOU, the player, is actaully getting with this mod. Well, here is a non-inclusive list:

New classes of strikecraft squadrons and Capitalships/Dreadnoughts/Titans with fixed number of Squadrons
Cruiser Squads of 3 strikecraft
Capital Squadrons of 6 strikecraft; largely used by Hangars
Titan Wings of 9 strikecraft; also used by Starbases

 

Mobile Starbases -all races possess starbases that can move about the gravity well to interdict enemy forces -assault carefully.

 

12 Playable Races with their own traits that make them more unique, from being a total offensive race, to a highly researching race. Each race now has its own unique tactics of gameplay.

Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might
Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection.
TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.
Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order
Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.

TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.
The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine
Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan.
Ship research boosts weapon performance.

DARK FLEET- modified Vasari
The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey.
Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.

Imperial Armada- from Star Wars
Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer.
Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.

Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates
Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery.
Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships

Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games
Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.

Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games
Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.

Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games
Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.

Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods)
The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.

Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games
As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.

Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers
The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

Just an FYI, the Atlantian TITANS are not quite finished yet. They are still underdevelopment as I have not yet assigned research requirements to them, so they are a little overpowered right now. I will fix this tonight or tomorrow with an updated release. So play testers, start testing!

umm, 20 min. into it, as tec, with one normal ai per each race, it mini dumped. the map was a large multi. :(

I grabbed it before you even updated this thread, was going to get 1.2 form fileplanet and noticed 1.3 sitting there so got that instead :D

Put in mod folder,
loaded game, activated mod.
tried ot play, had no construction ship or anything, just my planet and some resources

Tried again with the load mod on startup and restarting game and same thing :/
Got it in the right folder aswell..

Very odd
Will give it another go soon.

this is not fully merged with 1.05 yet.

for the malice-changes you need to merge these 2 files from the reference data:

BuffSpreadWeaponDamageSpawn.entity
BuffSpreadWeaponDamageTarget.entity

but i don't know if this is causing any problems at all ;-)

That was the log file it had generated.

unfortunatly the new version also doesn't work, i crash within the first minute of the game, if i play the original races it'll take about 2 minutes. doesn't give me an error message unfortunatly. Just says Sins has encountered a problem and has to close.

Hello All,
Your concerns are being heard lous and clear, and I am working on them right now. Unfortunately, this happens when multiple mods come together. I merged in two new mods since 1.2, so playtesting is critical. I put in about 20 hours personally, and have had no problems. I will try some more to try to recreate the problem.
But remember this:

7 DEADLY SINS 1.3 is NOT an add-on to 1.2, you must remove 1.2 or deactivate it, then activate 1.3. This "should" clear most problems (I'm putting this in the readme from now on), but I will continue to try to fix any problems.

Does anyone have it working ok? I need to know this as well, and also what version you have of both 7DS, Sins itself, and your system specs.

Thankd for that info, but this is the same I get, and I believe it is from WLD's mod and Uzii's mod, so finding the errors has proven difficult. But these shouldn't be game breaking and minidumping issues, so something else must be going on.
What are your system specs, I fear the newest version might be too much for some user's systems.

Intel quadcore Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GeForce 8800 Ultra, Vista 64bit running the game in xp sp2 compatibility. I removed 1.2 and installed 1.3. I was playing as advent on a huge multi random map. I crashed shortly after securing my 'roid.

I don't think it's an issue with my system. Are those of you still experiencing issues running XP or Vista?

Also, would you like me to continue to post the error logs or is that not helpful at all?

Side note: I don't think the intro music really fits the Sin's theme. My girlfriend looked at me funny when that started playing. Though it was funny because I used it as an excuse to play it despite her protests because "well, sorry babe. The game music says it's time to play the game... who am I to argue with Sins?"

She went home.

I dont know if uzii still checks his forums or adds new planets but wouldnt it be cool to add rings to planets. If only for aesthetic purposes if its even possible. I cant really think of any functional use of rings maybe extra defense or something but that would be awesome.

There are already rings for planets, they were there in the original sins with no mods installed. To view them on certain planets (it's just luck whether your planet has them or not) go into the options/effects in sins then click the show planet rings option. You may no notice the difference right away but eventually you will see a planet with rings

I play tested your mod and found a few things that might have been there intentionally or is a glitch. Also I LOVE THE MOONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DARK HOLES KICK ASS TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE DAM MUSIC TO SOMETHING ELSE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME BECAUSE I CAN'T STAND ROCK/HEAVY METAL WHATEVER THE HELL IT IS (i like hip hop and rap)! I would love the normal music back if you told me how to do it. Anyway now that that is out of the way (sorry for my language if anyone thought I swore :)

Glitches/ Fixes
1. Whenever I started a game I noticed my home planet had visible moons orbiting the planet but when I scrolled over the planet it didn't show the "moon bonus"
2. I noticed at one point in the game there were 2 or 3 volcanic planets with the "moon bonus" but didn't show any moons visibly.
3. PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE STARTING MUSIC! lol
4. When I went to the research tech tree and looked at the computer control research thing (the newly added research) it didn't make to much sense to me at what it did by reading it and I do speak fluent English. I didn't really understand what it did and what the point of it was. The words in that order didn't make to much sense to me either (you might want to fix the description on that research)
5. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or intentionally done. Whenever I try puting my mouse over a moon it doesn't pop up an info card or let me lock zoom onto it like when you zoom into a planet. The moon acts like one of those random asteroids that have no resource value, is that meant to be? Also Whenever I reach max population on my planet I don't see any car/vehicle type things or space elevators on my moons, once again intentional or a glitch? I understand this is the fist moons put into the game but just wanted to make the things I saw that were unusaual clear :) BLACK HOLES ARE AWSOME THOUGH KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!!! LOVE MOONS FINALLY THE GAME FEELS COMPLETE!

6 minutes into game when scotus found a black hole i zoomed in on it and instant mini dump so thats prolly a cause of some of the mini dumps were getting.

Quick question does this mod alter files permanently? I share this game with my brother and he will get very mad if he doesnt like the mod and can't get rid of it. I'm eager to try it out I just want to know if its easily removable/disabled that way I can use it if my brother doesn't like it.
