I see it has been very busy in here, which is good.
For xXx, and my other loyal followers, thanks for helping out in here.
There is a known bug with 2.1 with the Rogue shield upgrade. I am working on a fix for that, and will be a 2.2 release with some other bug fixes.
As for the next version, that will be version 2.5, and will be for Entrenchement. The conversion is taking way longer than expected, as I am mostly handcuffed right now by Ironclad for not updating the Forge Tools, so I am modding like we did back in the stone ages. Editing ONE file at a time and testing to see if the game crashes. They changed so many things in Entrenchement, that it is hard to see what works and what doesn't. However, there is good news:
7DS 2.5 is now is an almost working state. I have all the custom sounds and music, with all upgraded weapon and explosion effects, along with custom ship movement, and 4 working races right now in the game. As of right now, it is working flawlessly, although it is only about 25% what it should be.
Here is a working rundown of the races PLANNED, BUT NOT GUARANTEED, that will be included in 7DS 2.5, just to keep you on your toes:
THE TCA - old TEC
THE UNITY - old Advent
THE DARK FLEET - old Vasari
THE COLONIAL FLEET - BSG
THE CYLONS - BSG
THE GALACTIC EMPIRE - Star Wars
THE ATLANTIANS - DANMAN's creation
THE ORIONS - DANMAN's creation, a homage to Master of Orion
THE ROGUE - DANMAN's pirates
THE UR-QUAN KOHR-AH - Star Control
THE UR-QUAN KZER-ZA - Star Control
THE ARILOU - Star Control
THE UNSC - Halo
THE BORG - Star Trek
THE FEDERATION - Star Trek
So that is what is PLANNED, if I can pull it off or not remains to be seen. I am having a hard enough time just converting what we have already done, so adding more is a secondary concern. Some of these may wait for version 3.0, but this is what I would LIKE to do.
That is what is going on right now. I will keep you all posted. I also have a little more free time, as I graduated from college this week. I officially have my Bachelor's degree in Business and Technology. I am hoping to use that to propel DANMAN GAMES forward into the future. Stay tuned for updates!
