Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.
7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.

Mobile Starbases -all races possess starbases that can move about the gravity well to interdict enemy forces -assault carefully.

 

12 Playable Races with their own traits that make them more unique, from being a total offensive race, to a highly researching race. Each race now has its own unique tactics of gameplay.

Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might
Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection.
TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.
Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order
Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.

TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.
The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine
Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan.
Ship research boosts weapon performance.

DARK FLEET- modified Vasari
The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey.
Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.

Imperial Armada- from Star Wars
Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer.
Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.

Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates
Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery.
Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships

Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games
Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.

Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games
Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.

Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games
Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.

Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods)
The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.

Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games
As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.

Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers
The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

I am getting back into Sins this weekend.  I recently reformatted my comp and need to reinstall Sins.  May have an obvious answer, but how do i update the game to 1.05 only?

Change name of 1.1x folder back to what it was originally

 

create and name shortcuts to sins executables in both folders and play away.

 

you will be able to continue to update new versions of sins as well as play 1.05. You will have to reset graphics settings every time you change versions, but thats about it. Mods can go in the same folder, just be careful about loading them in the wrong version.

-If you look closely, the moon is halfway in the star.

Greetings All,

DANMAN GAMES is back up and running, so if you need to go there you can again.

ALSO, I have made a section on the official forum for various bugs you guys might be finding.  Please post them there so they are all together, and I can begin fixing them right away.

Also, with response to the above posts, I cannot make this mod for eveyone's tastes, that is impossible.  The only thing I can do is do the best I can with the tools that I have, and with the help that I have.  I have tried to make the mod with my own vision, while making people happy about stuff being included at the same time.  I hope this answers any questions as to why the mod is the way it is.  I am also limited by the game engine itself, and much had to be cut out for the 2.0 version, which I did not want to do.

Everyone's opinion is highly valued here, all I ask is that it be contructive, and that we all work together for the common good.

Good cuz I already said I used a poor choice of words. Please stop being the forum police especially since you havent even played 2.0. I will agree that they have done a great mod. I cant stop playing it and continually marvel at the coolness of everything they have done.

Here's some contructive criticism:

The shield effects for 7DS 2.0 are a bit too opaque imo. I think too much of the ship is obscured by needless opacity when a more subtle shield effect would be plenty visible yet allow you to see these gorgeous models. I think a more transparent shield effect would still convey easily that your ship is under fire without it turning into a candle that you cant see thru. More transparency just looks cooler in that you know the shields are operating, yet can still see ship details underneath.

Kol Beta main Gauss Cannon is pure evil :)  It fun to see that most of small ship evaporate after one shot :)

TCA defensive Railguns are also nice, 4 or 5 of them can take down capship easily :)

Now sure that it will be SOON... a lot of people have already download 7DS 2.0 and some of them have find minor bug or gameplay problem....

 

Like for 7DS 1.3, we have know version who reach the 1.3d... i will not be surprise that we will have a 7DS 2.0a, 2.0b, 2.0c, etc... until everything is perfect with 2.0 ...

 

The removing of the vanilla race in 7DS 2.5 will lead to a huge work... all race will need they own mesh, they will not more be able to share mesh with vanilla race... already a lot of race have their own ships... but at the level of orbital structure, a lot of work is needed...

 

So, let say that we have no timeline, we are working on it... and it will be released when it is ready... by the way, when the first beta will be released, nothing stop you to test it and help us correct problem...

 

More, nobody stop the fans to convert it themself... the Solar Sins 2.0 was for sins 1.05 but some fan have convert it for sins 1.1x...

Actually working on that now.  Hopefully within a few weeks.  I want to change the mod first to the new version of Sins, and that may be what 2.5 is, then later add all the new stuff in, and that will be 3.0.  I have not made up my mind yet.

I totally understand what you are saying.  Again, because I some hardcodes and such, this is the way things are.  There is no way to make the shields any more transparent, without removing the colorization unique to each race and going back to the old way in vanilla Sins.  I will try to see if there is anything that can be done, but I am pretty sure I can't do anything about it.

This mod is amazing, even got my friends playing this game just for this mod.

Some notes though, could we expect some SSD's for the Empire, i miss having a Soverign/Eclispe like in S:EaW FC. Even  just having the Executer is fine by me.

New meshs im guess all the structures for both logistics and tactical are all gonna be more different and better from original designs from vanilla correct.

I've followed this mod and all I gotta say is wow keep up the work you guys are awesome at this and where do I sign up for testing when 2.5 comes out. I wasen't able to for 2.0 due to work and class.

So that TCA ship that just rapes planets and such is the Beta Marza O_O.

 

Also while playing as the Arilou when I upgraded the Motherships spawn Skiff past lvl 1 the Skiffs would spawn but instantly explode, also after you spawn a number of ships some of the older spawned ships will explode.

The Rogue can research and build the Nova Cannon, but it has no option to fire when selected.

from what i saw fdrom that pic it was a bit un seethroughable if u watch stargate go for a atlantis shield it looks good imo

Well I guess i am the only one with the following problem because I haven't seen it mentioned yet:

7DS 2.0 doesn't work for me, it crashes the game resulting in a minidump when I activate the mod in the menu.

7DS 1.3d works, the 2.0 "alpha" version works, but official 2.0 no worky for me.   I have 1.05 installed, about 1.5 GB free actual RAM, and even turning ALL graphic options to medium has no effect.   Any ideas or am I just a freak case ????

downloading 2.0 finally, and i'm bouncing with excitement.  it's stil gonna take me nigh on half an hour to get though, so until then i'm sat here grinding my teath with anticipation.  the screenies look epic, and i can't wait any more!

i know it says final but there really is one more mod you should think about including, its called dynamic mod (still in beta true) but it makes ships dog fight so frigates dont just sit still, they do attack runs and what not.. really  realistic :D

Its not the final version of 7ds ever, just the final of version 2.0 (If you were in the beta, there were a couple different versions of 2.0). And the dynamic mod (assuming you are talking about manshOOter's) only works with Entrenchment.

One question, does the new battle 13 song have a name?  If so, what is it?  I love that song and want to play itl, considering that I play a stringed instrument and the song is all strings.

okay, back from my first game (about 5 hours long on a medium map 8C )

I <3 the new atlantians.  they're immesurably more balanced than they used to, so it takes forever to wind them up, which is good

the new textures rock my world

i noticed some music from Haegemonia, and from Eve Online, which is cool, because they have epic soundtracks.

next imma try the TCA on for size, but so far everything has been amazing

 

also, Virginia may want to look out, my zip's currently attempting re-entry.

when i fired up the Super Nova, the guy in the room next door screamed in bliss, so epic was the occasion lol
