Can't get correct path for the mods

I bought the game using stardock's center online purchasing process, the game works well, but when i try to mod the game using the create ones on the forum i can't find the ironclad folder which is the "right path" but alast my game did it another way. My game was installed in this fashion C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\Sins of a Solar Empire and i get all the bits and i can hard copy using notebook to get the mod to work but i be unable to switch between different mods any help will be greatly appreciated to solve this issue. thanks

I have the same question. Where exactly is the mod folder located ?

I searched my HD for Ironclad, Sins and Mods and was unable to find anything.

Look in:

C:\Documents and Settings\**YOUR_USERNAME**\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

You may have to enable 'show hidden files and folders' in order to find it.

Make sure you aren't making the same mistake I did when I first looked for it: under my username folder, I looked in the hidden 'Application Data' folder instead of looking in the hidden 'Local Settings' folder first.

OK im getting kind of angry here.

Just like with Sinsplus, the game hangs up. I hit enable, it shows the mods checksum and freezes. Tabbing back to windows then reveals a new task regarding a minidump.
I want this mess fixed. I payed for this game and downloaded 900 mb in 9 hours.

XP, E6600, GT7900 GT, 2 GB RAM.

Any ideas on where the problem could be ?

Okay try this: I'm not sure if the file is created with the initial install or not, so fire up the game, choose Single Player, then Options, then click on Mods. Then hit the Show Mod Path button. Quit and see if it shows up (this is what I did before I finally found it - I don't know if that created it or not, but it's worth a shot). Maybe that will create the folder.
