What do you mean by "other info?" Those auto-generated banners were one of the more clever things I thought Kryo came up with when he built the AltMeta. You've got your best ladder rank, your point total, and the number of games it took you to get those points.

When some of us were in active booster mode for the AltMeta, we added a hyperlink to our banners so anyone curious about the full record could get to it in one click.

I have the tags in a text file with a bunch of other strings I use regularly, and it's been so long that I forgot where I got the basic image link for my auto-generating banner. Try changing my 12279 to your character number (14152 for Yar 2600) and it should work... (You need brackets in the real code, I changed to parens to get chars instead of another banner.)

The img tag should let you include any picture for which you have a valid URL in your posts. It doesn't matter where you host them as long as an HTTP server knows where they are and you know the server's name.

I someone wants a subject to keep this post going for a while I reckon we should discuss community events. The metaverse holds a series of events, like the ship designs and ARRs along with a few inconstant events, but they lack the effort to bring a community together. Right now we have a rather loose community. people finding a little group to chatter with and occationally moving into someone else group to have a chatter with them.

We need some simple yet community binding forum events that will unite all these little friends groups and keep people interested and active. I am currently running 2 events myself as an effort towards this goal which I assume is in common interest with everyone else on the metaverse. both have been highly sucessful and brought people together, I People are eager to share and talk, give advice and creating a clever text response or picture which people admire. Not to meantion the humor and funny we are having is extrodinary.

I'd like to perhaps start a post somewhere on this site that can be actively maintained to show a description of every thread support community activities so that everyone can have a constant up-to-date link with every event that is happening. My reasoning segests that this will motivate people to actually stay active and in the process get to know and become friends with everyone on the forums. This will ultimately bind us together making everyone feel more comfortable and at home here. Not to meantion newbies would also feel much more welcome and thus be more likely to stay because they don't feel out of place.

I know it's alot of reading here, but I think it would be a good idea. If you guys support this I'm willing to go through with it and organise the post that will keep and up-to-date record of events for people to participate in. I'd expect people to be eager and paricipate by posting an event of their own aswell.
