Can't Even Install the Game

Had the same problem, uninstalled the demo and the game installed fine after that

I'm having the same issue.

I just bought the store version today. When I insert the disc, it brings up the autorun screen. I choose install, and it starts the installation wizard. After I agree to the license agreement and pick an install directory, it loads up the installer than immediately quits with an "Error" box. It kicks me back to another screen and says that I had a "fatal error during installation."

I also had the demo installed, so I deleted the demo. I'm still having the same install problem though. I've tried custom directories and the default directory. I've also tried taking off all of my stardock directories. I still can't get this to work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How do you uninstall the demo?

Edit: Nevermind, I was able to uninstall it by going to add/remove programs. Also, it fixed the error.

If you have any sort of troubles with the install off the disk you can always use Stardock Central or Impulse to download and install your game for you. I would recomend this since you will need to update your game version from the DvD anyway. You can get Impulse through here:
