Win Conditions?

I guess I kind of assumed you had to destroy the rest of the factions to win, but I just won for no apparent reason. Does anyone know the exact conditions for a win?

No enemies left with planets owned. Maybe the TEC super weapon was on autocast and killed the last enemy planet without you noticing.

looks like the comp surrendered still havent had that happen in my own game though

Wrong. As long as the enemy has a colony ship left and hasn't surrendered, they don't need planets to stay in the game last time I saw it happen, (which was before 1.3, but I think it was 1.2, can't quite remember).

Must have been surrender. I was Vasari, and not even to the top of the tech tree. Two AIs left, I trashed the home world of one, and just finished signing the last alliance with the other. Yeah, probably surrender.
