Why won't my serial number work

A few days ago I purchased Sins of a Solar Empire. When I got done installing the game I tried to register on the main site. But when entered in my serial number it wouldn't work. I tried several different ways but still the same message keeps coming up everytime I put it in "Invalid". So now I ask the public, if your numbers worked, why won't mine?

Oh, yes I was able to post this using my Stardock account.

I had the same problem and was given the option to send a message to Stardock but It not only asked for my e-mail, (which I expected) , it asked for what kind of structure is used by my server. I have NEVER had to give this information, I do not have this information, and untill today I didn't know that there were different structures.
What happened to "simple" e-mail that didn't require a graduate degree? No one else has requested this information so why does Stardock need it?

If you both would start up support tickets with us I will be happy to expidite the process you get you taken care of.

As for the aditional info it is collecting data for Stardock and Iron Clad to build a better online service. At this time I can't give more details but I belive that the information field that asks that question is still optional. Either way please let me know if any questions you might have and I will see to your tickets as quickly as possible.

had the same problem, they fixed me up in about a week...meh, did u buy it at walmart? thats what i did and it was telling meh that the code doesnt match the email...i was like wth (hence the name) i didnt buy online...anywho mail them and stuffs and they will get you fixed up

Yes I have the same problem with a WalMart purchaesed game. "Code dosn't match the e-mail". This is kind of depressing cause I would like to get the updates.

Ye gods,, I'm a dufus.
Don't know what I'm doing wrong Seabass, but the e-mail sent to me by you support guys was unopenable in my mailbox. Never had that before.. hmmm. Nope, no ideas why that happened, I didn't think my karma was THAT bad. 'Sigh', 'sob'
I'm done,, the gods have decreed that this game will NOT get registered. Thanks for trying

Ciassa do you have another email address I can send the support ticket to? We will get it working for you if I have to get out and push.... not sure what that means,.. but you get my point.

To replies 7 and 8 just send us the serial numbers and we will sort it out for you. For the paying customers of our products we will get it working however we have to.

You can always try manually updating the serial number. Do this by going to Stardock Central,  Tools > Register Products. In that menu use the tabs on the left side to select the category then in the main window please set the software name. Copy and paste the serial number in the box and hit update to update your serial number in the Stardock Central records. After that you should be all set.

Hello Seabass, well you were a good pusher. I actualy got the game registered and I am now set to consistantly lose the updated version. Tell your bosses to check this thread and give you a raise. Many thanks

Seabass was my nick name in the days of Ultima Online and I got the nick name from Dumb and Dumber for the redneck that stands up in the bar to wail on the two idiots. Not because I am a red neck, fisherman, or even a lover of seafood. It is only because as I would jump into PvP someone would evenutally scream "Kick his @$$ seabass!". I always looked for another name but never found a new one. And that is the story of the Bass.

well i have been w8ing 3 to 4 days just for support to sort out a email change.
so i can start to download the game -.- and before u say send a email to support i have 3 times.

If you keep sending email it throws you farther back in the queue. Send only one and wait for them to respond.

I don't find a ticket under your account email address. Do you have a ticket number I could look up?

Also please know that support is not present on the weekend.

btw did u get the pm? when the serial gets sorted will this let me download the game?

david - I actually sent two PMs this morning so only listen to the second one. The Sins serial was under a hotmail account for you but the logon account was under a MSN account of yours. Everything is now under the MSN account so when you log into Stardock Central or Impulse and see the game you can correctly download and update it. Let me know if you have further troubles.

For everyone else I did 140 activation emails that were back logged from the weekend yesterday and I am happy to say that only 90 remain. So if you sent something in that could be just over a day old to activation and have not heard from us let me know by tonight and I will hunt them down for you. Occasionally the activation emails for games wind up in the entertainment queue instead of the activation one. Not often but it does happen.
