Question and modding problem

ok quick question a string in the english is made up of parts which counts as one string? or string is everyline. Cause I dont know how often I should tweak the number of strings on top of the file.
Next question is everytime the game finishes I click quit game it crashes. It dosent crash during battles or anything just at the end. Could it be the in correct number for the english file?

A complete definition of StringInfo is what's counted, so it's not line by line, but how many StringInfos there are.

It's possible, the strings in the file are also needed to display the stats screens and all.. but I've never heard of that before :P

Hi there, I wonder if any of you could help.. I have no idea why but there wasnt a mod folder in my C:\Documents&settings\local.... etc etc.. the Ironclad folder was there as meant to be but no mod folder, I created one put a mod inside, went onto the game options menue to enable the mod but found that there was no mod tab whatsoever in-game.. I scrolled through the file managment tab but no mod folder..!!

Im sure.. well I hope im gonna get a nice and easy answer with a load of abuse as to how stupid im being..

Please, please help! Uzi's new planets look awesome and I really wanna use them..

Many thanks

The answer is easy :) You need to update your game to 1.03. Prior to 1.02 there was no mod support, so no mod folder and no option in-game :)

Oh Jeez.. I have a new r-tard problem that I would be most grateful for any assistance with..

The new Uzii's planet mod works fine.. and it's all good using it on GalaxyForge, however now when I have created and saved a custom map it doesnt appear in-game to be selected.. whereas it did b4 I patched the game..

it does say in the read-me for using the mod with galaxyforge that you should change the galaxy version from 0 to 1 if you have to.. well umm I know im dumb and so I dont exactly know how to do that..

seriously im sorry for being that guy who asks the stupid questions but I seem to run into probs non-stop with most games I actually like..

Many thanks again..

No worries :P

To change the version number, just open the map file in Notepad - it's all in text, GalaxyForge just saves you the hassle of having to type everything in manually ;)

Also, download the updated GalaxyForge (in the site's Downloads section) that works for 1.03 and won't require you to change the version number by hand. ;)

Also just in case, be sure to put the GF maps in the main install Galaxy folder, not the user path :)

Thanks again is much appreciated..

Tis a fine game & I dont even really like RTS..
However and I know this isnt the correct place to say, but I do wish it was turn based and reatained all the lovely depth of GCII (diplomacy, research, etc etc) but MY GOD the space battles on this game are perfection...
