Possible Bug

Gravity Wells

I have noticed in a few of my games that for some odd reason much of my fleet gravitates WAY outside a gravity well, like one around a worm hole.  It wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that it dissapears and that when I call on it to move to another system, it has to regroup from this far-away place outside the gravity well totally negating the idea of "delaying" my arrival to defend a system.  anyone else notice this?

Do you have a save or a replay of this while it's happening?

hmmm... I actually seen this too. I don't have a screen or replay though. But the computer's ships were about 2 terran planet grav wells out of the planets gravwell. It was really wierd because I remember wondering "WTF are all my strikecraft flying out there for?" So, I scrolled over and found a couple of the CPU ships out there...

anyways, I was wondering, If you simple set the ships to all travel with out grouping up shouldn't that solve it? I mean, they're all already outside the gravwell so they should be able to phase jump to the next planet. In fact it'll be a little quicker :P

I've seen it also, but not in 1.03 :P If you do see it again save the game and send it to [email protected] letting them know what to look for.

And unfortunately, when ships get that far out they'll want to regroup at the "proper" edge of the grav well before jumping out, as far as I remember :P

exactly, they want to re-group and thus you wait a long long time.
