Ship Designs needing most improvement......vote.

Ship Designs needing most improvement......vote.

My vote for worst design wood be the TEC heavy crusier.....you wait to finally build them and their UGLY! It looks like a WW2 tank! (Sherman) Even the pirates heavy cruiser is nicer looking! Maybe something more like Star Treks Defiant maybe?

The models for the original SINS game weren't so bad, it's just that the textures were left wanting.

Just take those gunz on the kodiak (and the crusader too, for that matter) and make them NOT BE POINTING FORWARD. That way the suspension of disbelief is preserved somewhat when the thing fires at something behind it.

Kodiaks are great, they remind me of ships in Time of Defiance!

I'd go with the Kodiak. Granted it seems to have the best armor but the design is an eyesore and it dosen't seem to have the firepower of the Skrovas or the range of the Destra

It has to be the TEC Sova Carrier, I'm still trying to figure out how fighters, come out of that thing, and who did they set up the weapons.

The Sova Carrier appears to be modeled after US naval aircraft carriers. Only instead of launching off the front, they are likely magnetically catapulted out of the little offshoots on either side of the carrier. The Hoshiko Robotics Cruisers are ringed with similar launch pads for their nanite drones.

I like the evacuator. It would have been cooler had they made the city structure visible (eg. buildings) through a transparent cover, but I'll go for a whale.

You can see a city at the top rear of the ship.

Worst ship designs? It's got to be the Vasari capital ships except for the Vulkoras Desolator. The Jarrasul Evacuator is absolutely the worst design in the game.I'd say the best ship designs go to the Cobalt, Kol, Radiance, Rapture, Disciple, and Destra Crusader.

I love the Vasari capital ships. I think the Evacuator is a very functional design, and coincidentally, I think the Desolator is the coolest ship in the game.

I like all of the ships. I would say that the TEC aesthetic appeals to me the least, but I still like it. I think the Advent are especially well done, and I like the Vasari a lot, too.

What about the Vasari fighters? They are the worst! Please, remember this! The kodiak, while strange, is no where in comparison to the Vasari strikecraft.

i vot for the TEC heavey cruisers, there just big blocks of metal and guns, i mean whats the fun in that?
also the Advent defence flak frigates are pretty ugly along with the progentaer mothership... i cant stand the design of either.
most of the vasari ships are pretty cool.

So next time the US air force names a ship "osprey," "Harrier," "hornet" (technically an insect, but you get the point) "Falcon" etc, is that a bad thing? Birds fly. Fighters fly. It works.

Sorry if that seemed disrespectful, the tone of that came out somewhat less jokingly than I intended.

didnt read the whole thread, but i was siftin through the manual and found this little tid bit that I thought justifies their crappy appearence (remeber TEC is a bunch of traders throwing guns on their ships) : " Originally designed for clearing paths through, dense, metal-rich astroid fields." basicly it used to be an Icebreaker Ship (In space) before the fighting started. and they threw some cannons on it

That's a good point, but still, wouldn't that mean it should be a wedge and not a brick with some engines strapped to the back?
