login/join woes - AFTER 1.04 update

Hi, don't want to winge on this good news, but... firstly, i've updated to 1.04 and rebooted twice (just in case that did the trick) first issue i'm seeing is it's taking 30-60 secs for me to login (i.e. be able to select my name after entering my password) also i'm unable to join any (open) game, i can see there are people joining so the hosts must be good. it's late here, so i havn't got time to investigate, but i was hosting fine before hand so my network should be good. just wondering if there's been any changes, or if anyone else is getting the same. and just for good measure, yes, i have updated to 1.04 =)

I have updated and am getting different version msg while trying to join games of players who have also updated

It's being worked on. Give us a few minutes.  The SDC update and teh website update apparently have a different file somewhere in there which is causing the error. Stand by.

I'm having a different problem. After updating to 1.04 I can't login at all, the message i get is "Account name not found" I'm not quite sure what's going on with that but any help would be appreciated

Make sure your Ironclad account name is typed properly. That information (along with video settings, and 1.03 save game compatibility) gets lost during the update.

I've typed it in several times now both upper and lower case. It still gives me the same message.

So which is the "bad" patch, the one on the stardock website? I used that patch and i don't have any problems hosting a game, and people can join.

I've updated but I get "disconnected from Ironclad Online" whenever I try to connect and also when I tried to re-register just to see if it would work. No software firewalls, hardware firewall was working fine before but it's disabled now for troubleshooting purposes, still no dice.

I think they kicked everyone out of ico until they fix the problem.

It's doing that disconnect thing to me now as well instead of the username problem, but i entered a completey reandom username and it did the same thing so i think its an ico issue rather than a user end issue

+1 more, thanks for the patch tho StarDock/ICO... i used to play dow and i am pretty sure their players are still waiting for them to patch 2 game breaking bugs that went out with their release on Mar 4.

so, thank you for the patches (and new game play features/improvements in the patches!!!)

I updated via Impulse, and while at first right afterward I could get on ICO, now I cannot. I get the "disconnected" message.
