ROFL sounds about right. Ironclad is starting to remind me of Ncsoft(devs of Lineage 2). Where there philosophy of balance was backwards. One class being two shotted by another was considered working as intended. In Ironclad's case, a faction that makes the least MUST have units that cost the most. And since they cost the most they must be the least effective of the three factions. And they must not have any viable counters to the other two factions to ensure that they are easy to destroy.

And last but not least make a entire tree revolve around a near useless stat called culture. All this is trying to let Sins players know that when you pick advent you want to lose. And if you want to play competitively against other players online pick TEC or Vasari.

So..why is advent in the game? Perhaps they are really a unfinished faction for a Sins expansion pack. That would make more sense.

Vasari fares much better in this patch! Last patch I only had two tricks with Advent, HC rush or flak spam. Or a combination of 2 :/ This patch I may get away with illuminator spam! Flak spam will be a no-no, and carriers int he closet As far as TEC is, mixed opinion. Maybe use carriers on some unwitty HC rusher We'll see

Why in the world would they want to unbalance the game? Why would logically thinking developers waste their time desiging a game that is unbalanced. How could they have the ability to create a product with such potentional and then 'piss' it away with a lack of game mechanics design... simple, fact... they wouldn't.

What about doubling Advent damage in 1.05? And at the same time you could switch all TEC and Advent names and graphics. That way you can claim "Hey, we made Advent super strong" and you keep your totally overpowered TEC to have fun with. Isn't that better then some cheat button?

Quite honestly, you seem rather naive. Having worked in the video game industry, let me tell you that developers are human, like anyone else, and if they enjoy the game they're making (and they should) they will have preferences and bias over one race, class, or whatever over another. Where I worked, almost every time there were arguments whenever a class or mechanism was going to be changed because one or more of the developers loved that particular class or race or whatever and didn't want it nerfed. Another thing is that usually whatever the most powerful guy in the office plays is whatever's going to be the strongest. Usually.

I am not saying that Brad wasn't joking but don't assume that developers are unbiased or impartial when it comes to game balacing. Having said that, just remember that sarcasm never works online.
