None of the "lost password" links work

My friend is trying to log in and get the update so we can play, but EVERY lost password link on this website gives him an error message. When I log off and try it I get the same thing.

Anyone gonna fix this or do we need to return our games to the store?

The world resolves around me. This must work all the time, and if they don't I must threaten them to make them work. Clink Clink Clink. Rar, I do not understand that things sometimes do not work. Beep. Beep. Boop.

Give it some time, you don't need to sound so rude

The same thing happened to me a few days ago; I would just get some uninformative (to me) error every time I tried the link for a forgotten password. This happen when I used Firefox and Internet Explorer, so I don't think it was any of my Firefox settings. I finally just gave up and just tried my 50 most recent passwords :P. I am not sure how permanent/persistent the problem is, however.

Regardless, I feel your pain. It certainly is annoying to not be able to upgrade and play, especially when some enigmatic error for a missing password link seems to blame.

I'd really like to know what chain of stores takes opened PC software back for a refund.

It depends on the country Mazuo. In the UK I have had no problems returning faulty software and damaged CDs and DVDs; you have to open it and use it to discover if it works or not.

A lost password is hardly compared to a defective or damaged CD/DVD.

Blimey, no need to rip in the poor sod. It hasn't worked any time I've tried it (about a month back) and it still doesn't work now. Ze Links are Brokkened!!!1 'twould be nice if a webmaster fixed them on the stardock & sins forums.

Aha - after messing about for 5 minutes, here's a link that actually works:

- edit: I'm unsure if this actually emails you with anything (I haven't received a reply yet when I tested it) ...

If the interfaces to it on the individual sites are not working, you should always be able to recover your password and serials at any time via http://support.stardock.com, or through the lookup option in SDC.
