Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but how would I go about uploading a pic for my online avatar in the forums?

Whenever I try, I end up getting an error screen

I'm assuming you are actually logged into your account here in the forum. If not, then make certain you do so.

1) After logging in, click on My Account located just beneath your forum name in the upper left.

2) Click the Update Images tab

3) Locate the Personal Icon section, find Browse and navigate to your desired avatar.

4) Finally, click on the Update button towards the lower left

That's all there is to it. Keep in mind that the avatar may will only be accepted in .JPG format and no larger than 50x50.

Yes, I do all that, but I always end up with an error screen.

Is there someway to scale the picture down before-hand? It is certainly bigger than 50x50.
