Multi Mods

is there any way to get multiple mods to work, specificly Uzii's mod with all the extras and a mod that ups the pop cap to 10,000 (for vary large single player games)  I cant seem to get both to work at the same time which makes sense, and i dont know how to edit it to make it work.  I did try modding the actuall game files, then using uziis mod, which works long as i dont turn of the game, but if i reload it, i notice that my pop count is far above the  allowed units, then it freezes...

help lol...
