LRM Fleet.

Alright, here is my problum.

MY buddy only plays tec and I have no problum with that, however I like to jump from Advent to Vassari. In one engagment he had 98 lrms, like 20-30 of the repair cruisers and 15 Cobolts, 15 AA, 1 kol and two of the ones with sheild repair. He chewed my Vassari fleet to shreads. Any ideas on how to counter an LRM fleet as such? Is there really anything to do in a situation as such?

A fleet of comparable size filled with counter units will do... just look at the damage types. Bring in enough anti heavy to destroy the repair cruisers, i would use a big bunch of disciples or cobalts, both upgraded with the special abilites. And the rest heavy cruiser combined with support ships ( hoshiskos, iconus, subverters ).
That will do.
Send the light frigates to hunt down the repair cruisers. Drain antimatter or disable reator will deal with them so they cant do anymore healing even before they are all killed.

The opponent might perceive them as a main threat and the best target for the lrm ( after your cap probably, just retreat instantly with the cap before loosing it ).
Send in the HCs to kill of the LRMs.
Id say the key is to neutralise the hoshikos fast. The rest will fall in time to the counter units.

As vasari get subverters and stun them. I bet the come in a nice big blob

Heavy Cruisers, and a lot of them.

If you're playing Vasari, you need to get with the Subjugator. It is the most powerful single unit in the game and a couple of them will disable his whole fleet. As Advent, again, you should be able to kill him with ease if you have a comparable fleet. Tec is the weakest faction per capita. Malice with a bunch of illums and guardians will make short short work of him.

Meh, I agree with everyone above, but I'd recommend targeting the heavy cruisers at the AA, and then bringing plenty of carriers to take care of everything else with maybe a 1:1-1:2 ratio of Fighters to Bombers.. At least you could point them at the lrms. The LRM's have all been slowed down drastically in 1.4, so you can move the rest of your fleet away and draw off the enemy's faster ships to be chewed up by your heavies :p

Is Malice a mass effect that makes the enemy take x% more Dmg?

As for the Subs, I had about 15 of them and that was still not enough to slow down the dps his Lrms were doing and stop is repair bots....it was an awfull battle.
