Newbie Question

Resource Capture

Sorry for the Newb question, but what ships capture those pesky asteroids that do not have a colonizationable asteroid or planet?

I tried many different ships last night, and nothing would do it.

Colony frigates for TEC and Advent, Scouts for Vasari. ;)

Use a colony frigate for TEC and Advent and scout frigate for Vasari.

It's simple, you take your colony frigate and use its ability to capture resources that are in, say, a plasma storm or space debris.

Thank you everyone! I guess I was trying to use my modded Cap Ship to try to colonize it and it wouldn't take, so I never tried the colony ship.

Beat me by a while too ;o

It is an ability which uses up antimatter on Advent/Tec Colony frigates and Vasari Scouts.

Colony frigates can capture resources in space debris and storms? Wish I had known that in my last game. There was a storm between me and my AI opponent but it seemed useless. There was also a debris field. Live and learn I guess.
