Has anyone tried this idea? (Advent Suicide Seekers + Malice)

Just thought about this last night though I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but its widely broadcasted about the Brilliance/Malice tactic but with a bit more (perhaps considerable?) micromanaging I thought of perhaps an even worse form of the Brilliance/Malice tactic.

I hope to try it out tonight if no one has done this yet but do a suicide seeker/malice rush on an enemy.  Brilliance does 250 damage I assume per tick on one target which is why its so brutal however the Seeker suicide is 250 damage with an AoE radius of 200.  If you threw a few suicide seekers into some enemy vessels when Malice is on any vessel in the radius of the blast recieves 250 damage.  So if you have say 5 ships bundled together thats 1250 damage all at once that gets dristibuted to the entire fleet versus 250 per tick from Brilliance.  If you did this in waves say suicide all of them on one capital ship that can take the hits and surrounded by its own vessels I wonder what type of damage this idea could put out.  has anyone tried this yet or am I just way off the mark here anyways thus not worth trying?

Very expensive, might work fine the first couple times you tried it but after a while dumping a thousand credits into creating 5 seekers at a time and then just ramming them into something does not seem to be work the damage output.

If it's anything like the damage output of Brilliance + Malice, it's well worth a thousand credits, since Brilliance + Malice can sometimes destroy an entire fleet. That's definitely worth a thousand credits to me.

I never tried it, but it might have the WCIII-suicide problem: One Suicide bomber kills the other four on impact. Though I don't know whether the shuttles can damage friendlies with the blast or not.

If it doesen't damage friendlies, this might be a very good strategy. 1000 credits isn't really all that much, considered the damage it could possibly cause. I guess I will give it a go today as well.

if you do the math, it takes about 5x sucide resources to kill stuff. the skill is horrible.

yeah so far I have not gotten it to work like i hoped .. it seems if they blow up too close together in succession the following damage is not counted so it doesn't seem like it can't be done in a gun shot way. Also since its a sort of spacial damage and not direct damage like a missile or beam weapon it does not appear to work with the Malice skill. Hopefully Simonster has better luck but from what I can tell Martyrdom does not work with Malice.

I was under this impression as well. In fact, it was brought up a couple of times in that thread discussing whether cleansing brilliance worked with malice was still in question.

ahh I watch this forum a fair bit looking for ideas but perhaps that was discussed before I ever started playing and ended up on another page, ah well

Tried this afternoon, and it just didn't work that well. Better stick with Malice + Brilliance.
