Vista install

look i have no idea if this is just for people with only one account on vista or for everybody or if this has been talked about when i was installing sins it kept saying there was a fatal install error so i rang my local eb games they said they had no one complain about it yet so i kept trying and i found that if you go to advanced install and then select only for me not for all users so thats how i fixed it

Odd. That should only be a problem if you can't get administrator permission on your computer for some reason (if you get one of those Cancel/Allow prompts during the install, hit Allow).

You may also want to try riunning as Administrator by right clicking on the install icon and selecting 'Run as administrator', that might help.

It's most commonly a result of having the demo installed and not removing it first, IIRC. It probably worked when you installed for only one user because the demo was installed for all.
